Kinga Brzuszkiewicz-Łozowska, MD

Kinga Brzuszkiewicz-Łozowska, MD, is a physician currently completing her specialist training in gastroenterology. She works as a resident physician in the 24-hour Gastroenterology Department in Łęczna, where she is involved in the diagnosis and treatment of adult patients with gastrointestinal diseases.

She graduated with honours from the Faculty of Medicine at the Medical University of Lublin. She is also currently a PhD candidate at the Doctoral School of the Medical University of Lublin in the field of medical sciences.

Her clinical practice focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the oesophagus, stomach, intestines, liver and pancreas.

She frequently treats patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), Helicobacter pylori infection, peptic ulcer disease, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), coeliac disease and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). As part of proctology consultations, she also diagnoses and treats conditions such as haemorrhoids, anal fissures, anal pain, itching and rectal bleeding.

She holds a certificate from the Polish Society of Gastroenterology in upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy. She also has experience in performing and interpreting endoscopic examinations and abdominal ultrasound scans.

During consultations, she focuses on gaining a thorough understanding of each patient’s concerns, reviewing previous diagnostic tests and treatments, and working together with the patient to establish an appropriate plan for further management. She considers it particularly important that patients understand the causes of their symptoms, as well as the recommended diagnostic tests and treatment options.

Her approach to treatment combines pharmacotherapy with appropriately selected non-pharmacological methods. She has a particular interest in dietetics and nutritional therapy in gastrointestinal diseases. She also places emphasis on the rational use of antibiotics and on providing care in accordance with current medical knowledge and evidence-based clinical practice.
