Agata Majewska, MB, PhD

She currently works at the Institute of Mother and Child. She graduated from the 1st Faculty of Medicine at the Medical University of Warsaw. In 2024, she defended her doctoral thesis with honors on the topic of hyperglycemia in pregnancy. In 2022, she completed a six-month scientific internship in London, at one of the world's leading centers for metabolic diseases in pregnancy, including intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy (King's College London). Currently, she is a research associate at the Maternal and Fetal Disease Group at King's College London. She is a laureate of the 1st edition of Forbes' 25 under 25 competition in the Science category. A board member of the Diabetes and Metabolic Diseases Section of the Polish Society of Gynecologists and Obstetricians. A member of the Club 35 of the Polish Society of Gynecologists and Obstetricians, which brings together young scientists. Her main interests are pregnancy pathology, including hyperglycemia in pregnancy, gestational diabetes, intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy, and ultrasonography. She specializes in managing both physiological and pathological pregnancies, providing contraceptive counseling, and treating infections.
